BIOGRAFÍA Silvio De Gracia. Nacido en Junín, Buenos Aires. Artista visual, performer, curador independiente, investigador y teórico. Ha presentado sus performances, conferencias y proyectos de arte público en Canadá, Italia, Serbia, Reino Unido, Grecia, Portugal, España, Japón y varios países de Latinoamérica en festivales y eventos como: LATITUDES International Performance Art Festival of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia [2018]; NIPAF The 22nd Nippon International Performance Art Festival, Japón [ 2017]; Acción! Entre 2002 y 2015 fue director y curador de varios eventos de videoarte y performance en Argentina, entre otros: PLAY - Festival Internacional de Videoarte (2004/2006); INTERFERENCIAS - Encuentro Internacional de Arte Acción (2005/2007); man in transit - Festival Internacional de Video y Performance (2008); y PARTICIPACIÓN - Encuentro Latinoamericano de Performance (2015). En 2004 fundó el proyecto VideoPlay, una plataforma internacional para la colección y difusión de video-performance, iniciando una intensa actividad de colaboraciones e intercambios con diversas galerías internacionales, museos, fundaciones privadas e instituciones públicas alrededor del mundo. Es miembro del comité de redacción internacional de la revista canadiense INTER Art Actuel, colaborando especialmente en la difusión de las prácticas de performance y arte acción de la escena Latinoamericana. In 2004 he founded the VideoPlay project, an international platform for the collection and diffusion of video-performance, initiating an intense activity of collaborations and exchanges with several international galleries, museums, private foundations and public institutions from all over the world. He is a member of the international writing committee of the Canadian magazine Inter art actuel, collaborating especially in the dissemination of the action and performance art practices of the Latin American scene. He has been a special guest at the Eleventh Biennial of Havana [2012]; 3rd Thessaloniki Biennale - Performance Festival [2011] and Tenth Biennial of Havana [2009]. |
